LAFF-062 Pollevann

June 27. It was a beautiful weather, and I was away from job. Thus I decided to go out and activate LAFF-062 Pollevann. A suitable QTH was easy to find, I erected the antenna, and started to call.

However, the conditions were poor and definitively far from QRP friendly. After 2.5 hours only 26 stations were worked, and the bands had became more or less dead. Thus, this area will be activated once more in the nearest future so that the required 44 QSOs are reached. (Fortunately, it is only a 12-15 minutes’ drive from my QTH.)

LA/OL-263 Nårkampen

Alone a weekend at our cabin is a SOTA-weekend. I left office right after lunch on June 19 and headed straightaway to Nårkampen, LA/OL-263. A suitable parking location is Bålsetra N 61 30.02 E 009 59.87.

As usual, I used my FT-817ND and a linked dipole. This combination has during many activations proven to be very reliable.

I started to work 20 meter SSB, and 9 QSOs came in the log. I then started to work CW on 20 and 30 meter, and additional 11 QSOs were logged.
