LA/OL-100 Valsfjellet

Beautiful weather, sunny and around 20C, when I once again visited Valsfjellet. It was also excellent radio conditions, so it was a really fun actication.

Totally, I got 28 QSOs; 10 CW and 18 SSB. Two of them was S2S (one was a “SOTA 2 GMA” (but a summit is a summit)).

LA/OL-100 Valsfjellet

Valsfjellet was the first of today’s summits. The weather was very hiking-friendly, 13C, partly sunny, and little wind. Opposed to yesterday, the HF condition was very good. This resulted in 28 QSOs in the log from 16 DXCCs in a little while. Among them were 5 S2S.

LA/OL-100 Valsfjellet

This year’s activation of Valsfjellet took place on June 4. Excellent weather made this activation to a pleasant one.

I used my FT-817ND and a linked dipole, and the QSOs were made on 20 meter and 30 meter. When I got QRT, 47 QSOs were in the log.

LA/OL-100 Valsfjellet

Saturday afternoon (June 20) I started with activating Valsfjell, LA/OL-100. As usual I parked at N 61.4896, E 9.7595, around 300 meters below the summit.

Totally 20 QSOs were logged on 20 meter SSB and 20/30 meter CW.

LA/OL-100 Valsfjellet

Valsfjellet was one again activated on September 13.

All QSOs were made on 20 meter, and the conditions were quite good. The weather was really magnificent; sun, calm, and temperature around 16-17C (not bad in September for a QTH 1148 meter above sea level).

Also on this activation, all QSOs were made on 20 meter; 30 on CW and 10 on SSB. One S2S was also worked today; LA5WNA/P on LA/OL-263 Nårkampen.
