LA/BU-086 Høgfjellet

This was my third visit to Høgfjellet, and all times I have troubled with finding the trail for the first half of thewalk. But finally I reached the summit. The rig and antenna was HB-1B and linked dipole.

17 QSOs (2 S2S) from 10 DXCCs were worked.

LA/MR-155 Aksla

It’s fascinating with Aksla that it can be reached by foot from the city center of Ålesund.  I had only a little time in the morning to activate it, so therefore I preferred to drive to Aksla stadion. Then it is only a little walk to the summit. It was a really fine morning, calm, sunny, and around 15C.

Once again I sued the HB-1B, but today I preferred to use a GP, simply because it was much easier to put up.  The rig was the HB-1B.

24 QSOs from 11 DXCCs came in the log in 30 minutes.

LA/HM-130 Eksberget

On my way to Ålesund, I had time to stop and activate Eksberget. It is located on the island Helgøy which is in lake Mjøsa (and in fact it’s Norway’s largest “lake island”). Helgøya is a really beautiful place, but unfortunately it is absolutely nothing but forest to see at the summit.

It is rather easy to find the summit. I parked near the farm Fjell at N 60 44.232 E 010 57.797. From this position, it is an easy to find, and easy to follow trail (but no marks) to the summit.

For this activation, I used the HB-1B and a linked dipole. Since I was on my way to Ålesund (around 600 km from my home QTH), it had to be a relatively short activation. Nevertheless, I worked 21 QSOs from 10 DXCCs in 30 minutes (all CW). Among them were 2 S2S.

LB/AH-020 Mjærskaukollen

I visited Mjærskaukollen once again. Also on this activation I used the endfed antenna (EF-10/20/40 from Par EndFedZ). The rig was FT-817ND. The conds were good, and 23 QSOs from 13 DXCCs (4 S2S) ended in the log; 6 on SSB, 17 on CW, and 20 on 20 meter, 3 on 40 meter.

LB/OS-001 Grønliåsen

Another activity test from Grønliåsen. Relatively poor conditions, but nevertheless I ended up with 8 QSOs in an hour. Best QRB was 257 km.
