Unfortunately the activation ended 400 meter
before I reached the car with a broken leg. But in early spring I should be
ready for new activations.

LA/OL-085 Prestkampen
I had the opportunity to activate
Prestkampen on September 30. As usual, I parked at Gammeldalen, around 2.6 km
away from and some 300 meters below the summit.
This year, I used my HB-1B and a linked
dipole (BandHopper III). I had my family with me, and thus it had to be a
relatively short activation (SOTA is boring for non-HAMs…). Nevertheless, the
activation resulted in 15 QSOs from 8 DXCCs in a relatively short time.

LA/OL-184 Kvitberget

LA/MR-155 Aksla
Aksla is a summit which can be easily
reached by foot from the city center of Ålseund! I started however at the
parking lot of Aksla Stadion, which is relatively close to the summit. The view from the summit is really beautiful.
I used a YouKits HB-1B and a “wire-GP” cut
for 20 meter for this activation. 18 QSOs from 11 DXCCs came in the log in a relatively short time.

LA/RL-031 Vårlivarden
LA/RL-031 Vårlivarden was activated on
August 11. I parked at Myrland, N 58.923, E 5.922, which is around 3.5
kilomters hike from the summit, and around 210 meters below. A clearly marked
trail made the hike up the summit a real pleasure.
Equipment was a FT-817ND and a “wire-GP”
for 20 meter strapped to a fiberglass pole (in case I needed to operate on
other bands, I had also brought with me a MP-1).
I started the activation on CW, and 27 QSOs
came in the log, then followed by 13 SSB QSOs. In total 40 QSOs from 17 DXCCs.
DXCCs: DL, F, G, HA, HB9, I, LA, OE, OH,
OK, ON, PA, S5, SM, SP, W, YO.
