LA/OL-200 Segalstadsæterkampen

Once again I activated Segalstadsæterkampen, one of the easiest 4-points summits in LA. As last year, I used my KX-2 and a linked dipole (Bandhopper 3). The HF conditions were fair, and the weather nice.

The activation resulted in 16 QSOs, 5 on SSB, 11 on CW, all on 20 meter from 10 DXCCs.

LA/AH-014 Toåsen

It was my 7^th activation of Toåsen. It was 4 years since my last activation. I parked as usual at Alværn ungdomskile, N 59.8208, E 10.63413. The weather was great, however, the conditions were rather tough. In the end I got only 7 QSOs (4 on SSB, 3 on CW) from 5 DXCCs, all on 20 meter.

LA/OL-263 Nårkampen

It was a short activation together with my family. I used my KX-2 and a linked dipole. In a little less than 25 minutes 13 QSOs from 8 DXCCs were in the log, all on 20 meter CW. Among them were 2 S2S and one WWFF (HBFF-0316).

LA/AH-020 Mjærskaukollen

A few years have gone since the last time I activated Mjærskaukollen. It’s a beautiful hike, and a really nice scenery from the summit. The weather was nice, but the conditions were not that nice. They were very poor indeed. I ended up with 9 QSOs from 6 DXCCS, 2 on SSB and 7 on CW.

LA/OL-184 Kvitberget

Kvitberget is also a summit I visit once a year. The rig and antenna were KX-2 and linked dipole. The conditions were good, and I got 30 QSOs in the log in just a little more than 30 minutes. I then QSYed to 40 meter and called for North Hunt stations which resulted in 20 more QSOs. In total, 50 QSOs (7 CW, 43 SSB).

LA/OL-200 Segalstadsæterkampen

Same procedure as last years. I parked at the same place, I hiked the same paths, I put the antenna up at the same place, … I start working on 20 meter and got 10 stations in the log. Next, I QSYed to 30 meter, which resulted in 3 more QSOs. Finally, I QSYed to 40 meter, and called for Northern Hunt stations which resulted in 8 more QSOs. In total, 21 QSOs from 11 DXCCs, 7 on CW, 14 on SSB.

LA/OS-003 Tryvannshøgda

SOTA Norway had an activation from LA/OS-003 on March 11, and I attended. Really fun. And of course I also activated the summit. Four QSOs, all on 40 meter CW.

LA/OL-184 Kvitberget

On June 22 I activated LA/OL-184 Kvitberget. Also here, “same procedure as last year”. I parked at Rudlandsætra, which is quite close to the summit.  The HF and weather conditions were the same as for the previous day. I got 28 QSOs from 15 DXCCs. One of them was a S2S. All on 20 meter.

LA/OL-263 Nårkampen

The second summit for the day (June 21) was LA/OL-263 Nårkampen. “Same procedure as last year” for this summit as well. The HF and weather conditions were the same as for Segalstadsæterkampen.  I got 16 QSOs from 12 DXCCs. All on 20 meter.

LA/OL-200 Segalstadsæterkampen

On June 21 and 22 I had the opportunity to activate three summits. For all of them I used a KX-2 and a linked dipole on a 6 meter fiberglass pole. The first summit was LA/OL-200 Segalstadsæterkampen. I parked at the usual place, 1 km away and 50 meter below the summit (this must be one of the easiest 4 pointers).  The HF conditions were fair, and it was partly sunny and 14 C. In the end, I had 17 QSOs from 8 DXCCs in the log. One of them was a S2S. All on 20 meter.

LB/OS-001 Grønliåsen

A short VHF activity test at Grønliåsen. The usual equipment, FT-817 ND, a 50 W amplifier, and a 3 element yagi (SotaBeams) suitable for portable operations. Not very great conditions at my QTH. In the end I ended up with 5 QSOs, best QRG was 414 km.

LA/OS-003 Tryvannshøgda

Today, SOTA.no arranged a meeting at the summit. Several HAMs had brought with them 100W rigs. And several of LB8CGs excellent trapped wire vertical antenna. I borrowed a rig, and worked 5 QSOs, two of them were chasers from California, and one was a S2S (LA6FTA from EA7, running 5 watts from a FT-817 into a 7 meter LW). So, the conditions were really great, and I had a great time at the summit.

LA/OS-003 Tryvannshøgda

A quick activation when it's still 2023. This summit must be LAs most easy winter-bonus summit. It was sunny, calm, 3C, and good conditions. At the end, I had 23 QSOs (5 CW, 18 SSB) from 9 DXCCs, among them 2 S2S.

LA/OL-067 Blåhøe

A quick activation of this drive-in summit. Party cloudy, a rather cold breeze, and temperature 10C. The radio conditions were fine. I logged 31 QSOs (18 CW, 13 SSB) from 13 DXCCs, among them were 4 S2S. So all in all, I had a great time at the summit.

The equipment used was FT-817ND and a linked dipole. All QSOs were made on 20 meter.

LA/OL-184 Kvitberget

Kvitberget is always a nice summit to visit. The scenery is very beautiful. Today, the weather was excellent, sunny and 17C. In addition, the conditions were excellent too, and many chasers were QRV. This resulted in 45 (16 CW and 29 SSB) QSOs from 17 DXCCs.

 The equipment used was FT-817ND and a linked dipole. All QSOs were made on 20 meter.

LB/OL-001 Storhaugen

Another short acitvation of Storhaugen. A really nice late-fall weather, and OK HF conditions. The result was 7 QSOs and 4 DXCCs.

A short activation of the GMA summit LB/OL-001 Storhaugen due to a family hike. OK conditions, and 5 QSOs from 4 DXCCs logged.
