LAFF-0405 Austråttlunden

I visited the Fosen peninsula a few days in the end of June. And I had the opportunity to activate this Flora-Fauna area for the first time.

I parked at Austråttborgen, which is well inside the area. The weather was unstable, so it was convenient to operate from the car. The rig and antenna was HB-1B and linked dipole. I had also with me a “suitcase friendly” 6 meter pole from the German company Lambdahalbe.de.

I ended up with 52 QSOs from 17 DXCCs on 20, 30, and 40 meter.

The 2 meter activity test ended almost in a failure. The coax connection to the antenna had broken. And half antenna = no antenna :(. Fortunately, I had a dipole with me, so I was able to work a few local stations. Best QRB was only 85 km.
